the young age range of the participants, the findings cannot be gen-
eralised to the entire population with T1DM. Nonetheless, the current
findings highlight the need for future studies on larger sample sizes.
This is particularly important, as the incidence of T1DM in developing
countries is observed to be gradually increasing annually.
