The fact that most subjects seemed to know what to do if
blood sugar levels went low (93.3%) and the consequences
of not taking their insulin injections every day (86.7%), how
many meals should be eaten in the day (83.3%), and the
effect on blood sugar level if they did not eat for a long
time or skipped a meal (83.3%) showed that these subjects
were familiar with basic and important aspects of dietary
management of type 1 diabetes. The fact that less than
